Heather and I went for our job interviews today and they went well... we think! So if you guys would pray that we would get the jobs if it's God's will that would be great! Though the thought of this job is actually exiting to me what's even more so is that if I get this job it means I will have money to go to Guatemala!!!!! Anyways we'll keep you updated

Hey Andrea will you bring us camping....

Before I left home for school I had the most wonderful opportunity to bring Jenn, Karl and Mya camping! If you know me you know I am not a very good camper... I do not like cooking on a propane stove or smelling like smoke or having to go for a walk everytime I nees to use the bathroom... but for my siblings I decieded to brave it and the trip was amazing! We went to Gordan Bay provincial campground which is near Lake Cowichan, it really is a beautiful spot!

We were there for two nights and that was the perfect amount of time... it was suposed to rain the whole time we were there and we maybe got 20 drops! and because of all the rain they had been having (before we got there) we were aloud to have a campfire!!!

I was also able to have a beautiful airmatress so I slept very well... jenn and Karl decided it was not fair but 2 would not have fit in our tent it was too small.

Mya was sooo good she rarley barked and she slept all night without barking!!!

The highlight of our trip would have to be when we dedcided to swim to an island that was swam to last year... last year we hiked most of the way there though and this year we decieded to swim... it was further than I remembered but fun none the less... some of these pics were from our swim last year (the ones with Kaila) as I would not swin with my camera!

Jenn and karl might disagree with me about the highlight though I think their favorite part might have been roasting the eatmore over the fire because their big sister forgot to bring marshmellows...

well over all the trip was good and I can not wait for next year!

Spagettie and meatballs????

Last week we had some of the girls from my old dorm over and I decided that I was going to make them a cake. while we were at Ani's I was checking out some of her cake decorating books and I found this idea, which I thought was brilliant, so I decided to try it out... I think it turned out fairley well!

Who needs TV?

Heather and I got two fish to entertain us this year, Skinner the third (mine) and Ralphie Gill the Second (Heather's)... we figures it's better than having to buy a tv... well let me tell you these fish are the most lame fish EVER! They just sit there! A day or two after we got these fish Heather's started to pick on mine... running into her when she was trying to eat etc... but I guess mine finally figured out who's boss!

And the Olympic winners are...

Each year (well except last year) Briercrest has briercrest olympics basically this involves each dorm/hall and their brother dorm/hall competing aginst 6 other groups of dorms/halls. The games they compete in change a bit from year to year this year we had:

  1. The van push... they load as many people as they can in a 15 passenger van (with the back seats removed) and then other people have to push the van through an obstical course... and 1 person gets to drive!

  2. The office chair Box relay... Our team (about 50 people) had to make two lines facing each other about 2 feet away from each other. Then we had to take turns putting a office chair box over our heads, spin around 10 times and run between all the people when we got to the end the box was taken off our heads and another person did it back... basically we had to do this for like 5 min and the more people we got through the better!

  3. Matress surfing... we all laid on our backs in a circle and passes a person riding a matress around... then that person would get off someone else would get on and we'd go for it again bascially again it was as many people as you can get through in 5 min... talk about sore arms!

  4. Then we worked on our team cheer... have to say it was great but I SUCKED!

  5. Target practice... we got fingure darts and we had to hit targets... again another one that was harder than it sounds.

  6. then we played this game that involved some cirlces and a big ball... I really didn't understand it....

  7. Lastley we participated in a tiathalon... it started with dragging someone on a mat thing, then pushing a go cart (well one person drove and 4 pushed) and then a sack race with 2 man sacks!

Over all it was a so much fun... O I almost forget to mention the best part... each team is assigned a color, blue, green, pink, orange, black, purple, and red.. my team... ok my old dorms team that Heather and I joined... was pink! I love Pink! turns out the guys didn't own much pink but rather than letting us girls down they went to wal-mart and found some wonderful outfits in the little girls section and the ladies section... Check out the picture below if you dare!

ok so that wasn't actually they best part but it was the second! the best part is that our team WON!!!! YA!!!! Whit 2!!!

Home Sweet Home...Here are some pictures of our new place!

Wow we're finally here!

Wow! That's really the only way to describe the last week of my life! Tuesday morning Heather and I left Nana Soames house and Heather drove the 14 hours from Langley, BC to Lethbridge, AB. Originally the plan was for me to do half of the driving but after only 1 lesson in a standard I didn't feel quite ready to take on highway 3!

We had a wonderful 3 days at Ani's! Maverick is the cuttest thing EVER!
While at ani's we spent lots of time shopping and just hanging out around her place but we also got to go to Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump... Let me tell you it is COOL! so if you are ever around Lethbridge and have a few hours head out there...

Friday am we left ani's for the 6 hour trip out to school... turns out it's more like a 4.5 hour trip! So once we got here we started the exciting task of puting together a home! We spent the whole weekend shopping, unpacking and putting things together... this was all finished last night when our couch, chair, my bed and our table arrived!

Anyways I really need to be heading to bed I'll write more with more detail later on when I'm not taking a Mod class!
