GO CLIPPERS GO!
I've been a hockey fan for quite some time now so it's no suprise that I love to go to the Briercrest Clippers Games. Our team isn't such a good team... actually they are quite bad... they have 6 points out of 23 games played and only have 5 left. But I still love going to watch them play! Heather and I went to their game last night and we are heading off to our last clippers game of the year pretty quickly here. Well that is unless they make it into playoffs but I'm not holding my breath. So I'm a bit sad all I can say is Go Clippers Go and even if you lose we'll still love you!

Ponoka or Bust!
I just booked plane tickets for Heather and I to Edmonton! We're leaving next Friday at 8:30pm and we get there at 9pm! I'm so excited I can't wait to see Krista and I can't wait to go back to West Edmonton Mall! Yaaa for Friday!
The Three Musketeers and Back!
On Febuary 5th Heather and I will be flying or driving to Edmonton to pick up Krista and move her out here to live with us! I can't wait! We have always been close and it's hard when she lives so far away from us. But no more! Soon she will be living across the hall!
These are a few of my favorite things....
There are a couple things I LOVE to do that other people find a bit odd. The first is packing, I love love love to pack! Paking for a short trip is ok but my favorite kind is packing up a whole room! I love it so much that at the end of the school year I packed up my whole room and then put all the boxes in my closet so i could unpack them in the fall... Loser I know.
The second thing I love to do is paint! Not painting pictures (I'm REALLY bad at that!) but painting walls. I would repaint my house regularly if I had the time and could afford it. But up until recently I haven't had any extra money to paint so we have had to live in a white house (EWWWW). But that is changing as we speak! The beginning of January I was able to paint our living room a beautiful blue/teal! and our down stairs bathroom became a green/teal! And today I'm going to get the paint for our dining room! It's going to be a much less exciting grey. Grey was always a color I disliked for houses but becuase it's so sunny and bright outside here we think it will work. We also needed a more mellow color as our kitchen is going to be red! O I can't wait!

A Little Something that Came to Mind!
This past couple weeks I have come across an MTV tv show called teen mom. It's basically about 4 girls who had babies or became pregnant at 16 and how they are dealing with their lives now. 3 of the girls have decided to keep thier babies and one of them chose to give her baby up for adoption. I really really admire the one girl, Catelynn, and her boyfriend who chose adoption. They decided that they wanted to give their daughter a better life than the one they had and they knew the only way to do in their situation was through adoption. Because I am from a family who has adopted 5 kids I have always admired birth parents, especially birth mothers. But watching this show has made me admire birth moms so much more! This poor girl and her boyfriend go through so much pain not seeing their little girl everyday. They cry daily because they miss their little girl but they go through all this for her. So I want to say to all the birth moms who have given up their sons and daughters... THANK YOU!

4 days is never enough.... unless it's of work
So in ten min I leave for my second 4 day shift! I have had the past 4 days off and it's been crazy! I hope they aren't all like this... ok maybe crazy is the wrong word... but I definitely haven't got the sleep I was hoping for.
Tuesday: I got off work at 10am, did a quicky grocery shop with heather then headed home. Heather had class all day. I did laundry, cleaned my room well started it it still has far to go) and talked to SGI/the police about my car keys (which have gone missing). Then we had compnay for dinner!
Wednesday: Off to Regina to deal with some SGI stuff, went to Costco, Old Navy, Winners, Fabric land... Came home at 5:45, had compnay for dinner at 6:15, then had more compnay from 12pm-6am. He was coming by to drop off a drill for us and stayed for a "little" visit.
Thursday: Work up at 12:30pm, hung out around the house, did some me laundry (I think every piece clothing I owned was dirty), and then at 7 we went out to a friends and got home about 2am
Friday: Woke up at 9:30 (why so early???), Talked to Kaila!, more laundry, went to MJ with heather to get some stuff for our house/water, came home at 4:45 had more company for dinner, played games with Diana and Deana, cleaned my room more, more laundry, packed and was in bed by 10:30! Ps I bought a feather pillow today and it was amazing!
Saturday: Up at 7 and now it's 8:30 and I better leave for work
See you all in 4 days after 96 hours of work!

Beautiful!
I am not often thankful that I live in Sask. but today I am! It's been raining like MAD in Port Alberni and we have BEAUTIFUL weather! It's zero and sunny! I LOVE THE SUN!

car news
good news on the car front, the car is ready to come home! It has over $500 in damage done to it but becuase we are not at fault that will all be fixed free of charge! but it is drivable so hopefully it will be comeing home with heather on Saturday! I can't wait to see me beautiful car, how I miss it.

Snow
I'm sure all of you know by now that I don't appriciate snow. I don't like how cold it has to be for it to snow, I don't like how it sticks to you when you walk through it, I don't like how it blows across the road so you can't see your lines, I don't like how it makes everything so slippery and most of all I don't like shoveling it.
While we were gone home for Christmas quite a bit of snow managed to accumulate in our driveway. Something you should all know our yard gets more snow than any other yard in Caronport... ok atleast any yard on our street. I'm not sure why but the people across the road will have 3" and we'll have 2'! So today I decided to brave the snow and go out and shovel our driveway so our car has a nice place to park when it comes back. O another note I should tell you I have never shoveled a driveway :) Lets just say I was out there for 1 hour, 3/4 of the dirveway is done and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to move tomorrow... 1.5 feet of snow is alot to move!

What a Holiday
O my goodness Why do I do this to myself? I wait weeks to blog then I have so much to say I could write a book. Well I will do my best to give the short version of the past 2 weeks.
Dec 23: Heather and I went Christmas shopping in Nanaimo and we learned that big boxes don't fit into little cars. Krista came home from Edmonton! Went out to Jades for our Christmas Chinese food fix.
Dec 24: Woke up feeling a little ill but took some tylenol and went on with my day. Krista and I brought Jenn, Karl, Brent and Aiden to do their Christmas shopping. By the time I got home I felt horrid and I ended up sleeping rather than going to the candel light service at the church. Got up tp open a present with the fam and read the Christmas story then it was back to bed for the sicky.
Dec 25: MERRY CHRISTMAS! I managed to stay awake for 2 hours of the present opening then I had to go back to my couch and have a nap. Ended up sleeping for pretty much the whole day. Had a fever or 102
Dec 26: Usally on boxing day we go to Nanaimo to visit with my dad's fam but becuase I was sick and others in the fam were starting to feel sick we stayed at home for the day.
Dec 27: I was a lot better today! Still some sick but I was able to go to church as the kids were being dedicated. Then after church we went to DQ for Lunch and Cake to celebrate brents 15th birthday (which is actually on the 30th but we wanted the whole fam to be there) Then we wet bowling. Which actually went by pretty well Aiden did run down the lane at one point, I guess we forgot to tell him that they are only for the balls not for people! After bowling we went home and chilled, I was wiped so I took a nap!
Dec 28: Krista had to go back to Ponoka today :( Heather, mom and I all went to Nanaimo to meet up with Katie and wehad our first Reece's Rainbow Canada board meeting! Reece's Rainbow is the ministry that helped us find Aiden and we are starting a Canadain branch! After that we went and did a bit of shopping and then it was time to head home.
Dec 29: I don't remember this day very well so I'm thinking we didn't do much!
Dec 30: I was woken up by heather asking "what's our license plate number?" and I thought O CRAP! Yes our car was stolen from our friends house in Regina. A long story short it was recovered and it looks like it's in good condition we were told.
Dec 31: I woke up at 2:30am, left our house by 3:15am and caught the 5:15am ferry to vancouver. There I took a taxi to the airport and caught my 10am flight to calgary. I got to chill out around Calgary for about 6 hours then finally at 5:30pm I got on my flight to Regina. In Regina our wonderful friend Linden picked me up (becuase I had no car) and I spent the night celebrating the new year with him.
Jan 1: HAPPY NEW YEAR! I woke up and had a wonderful Visit with Linden's mom, then I had breakfast with them and after that Linden drove me back to Caronport. I didn't do too much once I got back besides realize how long my week was going to be. I was actually suposed to start work today but becuase I was still recovering from my sickness I decided that it would be best to call in sick. So I chilled around my house and then later in the evening a friend came over and we watched a movie.
Jan 2: I realized that unless I had a project or something to do throughout the week I was going to go insane. O today Ani called too. Then I talked to Heather and she suggested painting the house. PERFECT! So I talked to a friend and managed to borrow their extra mini van for the following day.
Jan 3: Went to church, it was so nice being back I love my church! After church we went to Champs (it's a sports bar) for our church lunch! After that it was time to get down to business so I went grocery shopping and then I went to Canadian tire to pick out my paint! I ended up picking a green teal for the downstairs bathroom and a blue teal for the living room. I also got some other color chips so that when heather gets back we can decide on colors for the dining room and kitchen. After I got home I had a little snack then it was time to putty the bathroom! I even managed to get 1 coat of paint on before bed!
Jan 4: I finished painting the bathroom and put it back together then it was onto the livingroom. The living room took way more prep time obviously a it's much bigger but I managed to get 2 walls painted before it got too dark to continue. Then I figured I better make something for dinner so I made a huge pot of chili and froze most of it. After this I decided I needed to shower only to realize I couldn't becuase the paint in the bathroom hadn't sat for long enough so I packed up my backpack and headed over to my old dorm and I used their shower! Then I stayed for a visit with Tryna and she taught me how to play crib!
Jan 5: Today! So I was woken up by the phone ringing at 9am (who calls people that early?) it was SGI (the insurance people/the people that have my car) and they needed to collect some more information so that they could inspect the car. They will be inspecting it tomorrow and thursday I will be informed if there is any damage etc. This means that there is no way I will be getting my car back any time too soon. O well atleast I know what's happening with it now.
So that's been my life over the past couple weeks (well the fast version) but I better go these walls aren't going to paint themselves!
