So I have to admit I was really hoping for a green Christmas... they are my favorite kind... but no such luck from me. Rather than being bummed about it though I decided to enjoy the snow. Here are some pics of our beautiful yard and my family on our yearly tree cutting down/family pictures outside outing...

And now it's time for did you know!
Did you know that you can tell what side your gas tank is on by the little pump icon by your gas gage?
Now you will never have to stick your head out of the car window trying to figure out what side you need to fill up on!
If the handle is on the right side your gas tank is on the right side
and if the handle is on the left side to is your gas tank! Now you will never have to stick your head out of the car window trying to figure out what side you need to fill up on!

Strange visitors
Today was my first day of freedom! I am finished my classes, I didn't have to work and I didn't study for finals! It was a beautiful day... Like most if not all of my lazy home days I slept in then was veging on the couch watching tv on youtube... I know I'm a geek... when I heard a knock at my door my first thought was odd then I thought crap I'm in my pj's still and I'm not looking so pretty, but whatever as I was getting up to answer it I heard the door open... not weird for caronport... and I heard a males voice! He said hey and I was like hi! I had really no clue who it was still at this point as I was walking over to where I could see him. well when I got to the top of the stairs I realized I didn't know this guy. Turns out he was looking for mike... whoever he is and he had the wrong house... I never got the guys name but I do know that next time I see him it will be very aquward...
Then later on tonight like 12:40 I was sitting at the kitchen table decorating gingerbread men and sugar cookies when we had another knock on our door. Heather went down and opened the door and all I hear is "We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a mery Christmas and a happy new year!" There were a bunch of guys caroling at our door... this time we did know them... well 2 of them atleast... and this time it was heathers turn to look like crap... she answered the door with a towel on her head... then took it off... lets just say she should have kept it on! after a rousing round of rockin' around the Christmas tree, which was very entertaining they were off...

Hey Andrea do you want to go to the Christmas train?
At work this evening I was asked if I wanted to go with one of the participants from my house and some others from another house to the CPR Christmas train. All I knew is that it was a train covered in Christmas lights and then there was a skit or singing or something like that. I thought why not? it gets me out for a bit and could be fun for the participant. We waited in the cold forver it seemed and finally the train got there and the show started... it was pretty good some jazzy type lady singing Christmas carols then all of a sudden they anounced that Johnny Reid was playing next! JOHNNY REID!!!! I listen to this guy on the radio... I have his sons on my computer and he was going to be singing here!!!! Needless to say it made my night... it was worth the long wait and the cold! Here are a few of his songs for those of you who don't know who he is...
I know these aren't the best videos ever but the're the best I can find.

Two weeks and counting
Wow this semester has flown by! I can't believe that classes are going to be finished so soon! in 2 weeks I will be boarding a plane to head home... actually I'll be flying or maybe in Calgary by this point. Though that is exciting I know my next two week aren't going to be... I have 3 books to read or finish up one by monday, one by wednesday and one by the 16th... I have 3 papers left to write or finish... one of which is due in a few hours:S and then 3 finals... I know that atleast 1 is a take home... when I look at this I think this isn't bad I can do this. Then I look at all the other things I'm doing I work Friday, Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and again on the 14th... I have tickets to the school's play on Sunday and to a hockey game Friday... youth group the other Friday night... atleast one Christmas party and Christmas baking to finish up. Well I guess I better get to work if I want to make it through the next two weeks!

Quote of the day...
Right now I'm reading Orthodoxy for my Christian Worldviews class and I came across a quote that I loved! So I thought I would share it:
"A child kicks its legs rhythmically through excess, not absence, of life. Because children have abounding vitality, because they are in spirit fierce and free, therefore they want things repeated and unchanged. They always say, Do it again; and the grown-up person does it again until he is nearly dead. For grown-up people are not strong enough to exult in monotony. But perhaps God is strong enough... It is possible that God says every morning, Do it again, to the sun; and every evening, Do it again, to the moon. It may not be automatic necessity that makes all daisies alike: it may be that God makes every daisy separately, but has never got tired of making them. It may be that He has the eternal appetite of infancy; for we have sinned and grown old, and our Father is younger than we." --G. K. Chesterton
